The Nebraska Health Care Association (NHCA) is committed to protecting the privacy of the personally-identifiable information that is collected from you as you use this website (the site). This policy applies to NHCA and affiliates Nebraska Nursing Facility Association, Nebraska Assisted Living Association, Nebraska Association of Home Health Agencies, Licensed Practical Nurse Association of Nebraska, Nebraska Hospice and Palliative Care Association, Nebraska Health Care Learning Center, Care PAC, and Nebraska Health Care Foundation.

What personally-identifiable information is collected?

NHCA collects personally-identifiable information on certain areas of the site when users register, request information or a response, sign up for events, and participate in user posting areas. The personally-identifiable information (i.e., personal information) collected may include, without limitation, your access ID/password, company or school affiliations, and contact information (names, mailing and e-mail addresses, phone/ fax numbers).

How may my personal information be used?

NHCA uses personal information to fulfill requests for information, to process requests to participate in events, and to review and consider any other service requests submitted. NHCA may keep any personal information on file and use it to contact you for business development purposes. NHCA may also use personal information in analyzing site user behavior in order to measure interest in specific items posted on the site. Email addresses provided at registration allow NHCA to send targeted email to individuals. If you do not wish to receive emails as a result of the site’s registration process, contact nhca@nehca.org. NHCA uses personal information collected from cookies and IP addresses as described below. NHCA may provide personal information to any of its affiliates.

Are cookies and IP addresses used?

The site uses cookies to identify you and your interests and to track usage of the site. Security

NHCA has implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security in order to protect personal information from loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. Only authorized NHCA personnel are provided access to personal information, and these employees are required to treat this information as confidential. Despite these precautions, NHCA cannot guarantee that unauthorized persons will not obtain access to your personal information.

Transborder hosting and transfer of information

Personal information collected on the site may be transferred from time to time to NHCA offices located throughout the world, including offices located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), and the site may be viewed and hosted anywhere in the world, including countries (such as the United States) that may not have laws regulating the use and transfer of personally-identifiable data. Children’s on-line privacy protection
