The Vetter Foundation

Nebraska Health Care Foundation

The Nebraska Health Care Foundation was established as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization by the Nebraska Health Care Association in 1987. The Foundation works to support the quality improvement efforts of health care professionals working in Nebraska’s nursing homes and assisted living facilities through training and resources, as well as efforts to build Nebraska’s health care workforce. In addition, in response to Nebraska’s 2019 floods, the Foundation Board of Directors created an emergency support fund to respond to the needs of Nebraska’s long-term care community in the wake of an emergency event (e.g., natural disaster, pandemic, fire).

The Foundation distributes annual scholarships to individuals interested in seeking long-term care education, such as a nursing home administrator, assisted living administrator, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, activity director, social service designee, or dietary student.

The Nebraska Health Care Foundation collects funds to do its important work through such events as a golf outing and silent auction; campaigns for specific projects; and online giving.
