NNFA – Resident of the Year

Step 1 of 3

    • ABOUT
NNFA is pleased to offer this award category in recognition of outstanding individuals who make real contributions to the well-being of fellow residents and/or their home facility.

      ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
All residents nominated must reside in a NNFA member facility in good standing at the time of the nomination.

      AWARD CRITERIA
Recognize residents who contribute to the well-being of fellow residents and help improve quality of life in nursing facilities. The nominee’s contributions should reflect involvement in one or more of the following areas:
      • Ability to help residents and/or staff realize their potential
      • Overall impact on residents, residents’ families, and/or staff
      • Involvement role in activities
      • Length and frequency of involvement in activities

      SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
In addition to the nomination form, please provide a letter of support from the administrator of the facility where the nominee currently resides and a photo of the nominee. Additional supporting documentation not to exceed two pages may also be included, but is not required. If you choose to include supporting materials, please refer to the person as “the resident” or “the nominee,” and do not identify the facility name or location. This will assist greatly in the judging process.

      RECOGNITION
If the resident’s circumstances permit, they will be invited to attend the awards ceremony during the NNFA/NALA Spring Convention, April 26, 2023, in Kearney. The winner will be presented with a recognition plaque. The facility will be provided with a sample press release following the ceremony. If the resident is not able to attend the awards banquet, NNFA/NALA staff will assist the facility in planning a presentation of the award at the facility to honor the recipient.

      DEADLINE
The nomination form and supporting materials must be submitted no later than March 17, 2023. Please contact Marketing at Marketing@nehca.org or 402-435-3551 with questions.
