NHCA values the opportunity to bring members across the state together to learn and connect — which is more important now than ever.
The goal of the annual NNFA/NALA Spring Convention is to improve the quality of care for residents and patients across Nebraska by providing education on health care issues for nurses, social workers, administrators, dietary, activities, advocates, and others working in nursing facilities, assisted living communities, or in the health care field.

Support Nebraska’s Careers in Caring!
The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic continues to remind us of the importance of a high-quality workforce to care for Nebraska’s most vulnerable.
Today, there is a demand for approximately 2.3 million direct care workers in long-term care. By 2030, that number is estimated to increase to 3.4 million.
In the last year, the Nebraska Health Care Foundation (NHCF) donated personal protective equipment to nursing facilities and assisted living communities across the state while continuing to offer annual scholarships to medication aides, basic nursing assistants, assisted living administrators, nursing home administrators, activity directors, dietary staff, social service designees, registered nurses, and licensed practical nurses working in long-term care.
Kicking off during Careers in Aging Week and continuing throughout the 2021 Nebraska Nursing Facility Association-Nebraska Assisted Living Association Spring Virtual Convention, this fundraiser will celebrate, uplift, and support caregivers and other health care workers who improve the lives of millions of seniors daily.
Help encourage continued growth in long-term care careers by donating to NHCF today! Make a contribution online or text NHCF to 855-202-2100 to get a link to donate.
Give to Care PAC!
Support the advocacy work of Nebraska Health Care Association by contributing to Care PAC.
By pooling resources through Care PAC (Political Action Committee), we in the nursing facility and assisted living profession can have an impact on the decisions made at the State Capitol, including those that affect salary and benefits, Medicaid reimbursement, operations, training and licensure, the working environment, and quality of care. Care PAC listens to your views about candidates in your district and contributes to those that support long-term care, educates candidates about challenges faced by Care PAC members in their districts, and works for you by asking the tough questions on candidate views about issues affecting your job and/or facility.
